It's not that I think stupidity should be punishable by death. I just think we should take the warning labels off of everything and let the problem take care of itself.

This week, you may remember, is Telluride Gay Ski Week. There was some controversey a couple of months back, so I was fairly interested to get here and see if there really was any kerfuffle to watch.
Well, I'm happy to report that it has been entirely uneventful so far. There were rumors of a dispatch from the bigot brigade heading up here from nearby (and very conservative) Montrose, CO. Apparently, they sent some people last year for some sort of protest, but only a very few people even saw them. And no sign of them yet this year.
As far as the locals go, they couldn't be nicer. The Gay Ski Week crowd is very small - somewhere in the neighborhood of 200 people, I've heard - but the employees of the places we've been so far have been going out of their way to make us feel welcome. (I guess they know we're gay because of my husband... ) The Oscar-watching party last night was organized by the GSW people, but there were lots of breeders there too. From my perspective the party wasn't that great (especially not for $30), but that was mostly a function of the venue.
There are more parties and events coming up - I'll post if anything interesting happens. But right now, I'm off for my massage.
