It's not that I think stupidity should be punishable by death. I just think we should take the warning labels off of everything and let the problem take care of itself.

LAKISHA JONES - Last Dance Just like Donna Summer, this girl is a bonafide DIVA! Compared to last week she was a lot sexier and sleeker and definitely ready to hit the dancefloor while rockin' those naughty boots. The uptempo song was a breath of fresh air, but she needs to smile and enjoy her performances more like her counterpart Melinda.
CHRIS SLIGH - Every Little Thing She Does Is Majic No magic in this performance. It felt very nasal, especially in the beginning. Unfortunately, unless there are a bunch of girls out there that like his hair as much as Sanjaya's, I have a feeling he is going home tonight.
SANJAYA MALAKAR - Bathwater Where do I start??? Even Gwen had no confidence in him! He sounded like Johnny Mathis doing No Doubt. He also forgot some of the words in the middle of the song. And how appropriate were the lyrics, "diving into my own destruction". And the hairdo, oh God, the hairdo. That wasn't a mohawk or even a faux hawk. He looked like a chihuahua winning Best in Show!
GINA GLOCKSEN - I'll Stand By You I'm not a big fan of this girl, but I have to admit that she gave a great performance. She didn't yell her performance, like she normally does. It was strong and powerful.
HALEY SCARNATO - True Colors She gives the impression of being more of a model than a singer. Heck she even has the mole a la Cindy Crawford to boot. The camera loves her and she loves the camera so much that she is constantly looking for it, even though she misses looking at the right camera every time. As for her performance, she does well with softer ballads as opposed to the power ballads. Doing Cyndi Lauper is good. Doing Celine Dion is disastrous. Although I enjoyed her performance, Simon is right, most of the time they are forgettable.
PHIL STACEY - Every Breath You Take Ok, who was his make-up artist last night? Boy George? He had a very karma chameleon look. As for his performance, it was good but I find this guy does not have the it factor. He's got more potential of being a back up singer than Melinda or Brandon.
MELINDA DOOLITTLE - Heaven Knows Heaven knows this girl can sing! She is fun to listen to and to watch perform. She's so happy to perform that she makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. The same feeling I used to get as a kid watching the muppets. She reminds me of one, she's cute and has no neck like them. As for Simon dispensing fashion advice, that's like Nicole ritchie giving weight loss tips. Shouldn't happen!
BLAKE LEWIS - Love Song What I like about this guy is his way of arranging a song and making it hip and contemporary. He's very consistent at doing that and although he gave a good performance, it was a little boring.
JORDIN SPARKS - Hey Baby She can definitely sing anything and she proves that tonight. I just had an issue with the outfit. It was a little too picnic trashy chic, but I guess eventually all Mickey Mouse Club members get a little down and dirty. Can anyone say Britney or Christina?
CHRIS RICHARDSON - Don't Speak I enjoyed last week's performance a lot more. He definitely seemed to struggle with this song. I think he was a little shaken from being in the bottom two last week. He looked like a discouraged, scared little boy up there. His performance was good but safe.
Blake probably has the best chance with the boys (I didn't mean that the way it sounded, but there it is). He has a good voice and does some really cool arrangements. But. . .has anyone else noticed that sexy little snarl he does with his upper right lip? Baby!

I really hate blake! This is the second week he tries to pull off a second rate 311 performance. That arrangement last night wasn't original at all! 311 covered it for 51st date and that's the way that they arranged the song!

Why anyone takes this ridiculous show seriously is beyond me. It's such a waste.

Okay, I have to say first that I am a huge fan of Blake's, so I don't intend this as any sort of slam (hopefully most people will see some good in it), but Blake's voice reminds me so much of the lead singer from Erasure--especially in this week's and last week's performances. But honestly, are any of us on "the team" actually listening to his voice...or are we too busy watching the way his body moves? ;-)
