Farewell, but not Goodbye
I'm sure you're all aware I've missed several Slaps lately, but I have to confess to exhaustion. On my travel back home recently, I flew through Atlanta and was treated to 6 hours on the tarmac before having my flight cancelled.
And honestly, I'm just worn out. I've been Slapping more or less constantly for 3 1/2 years. So after today's Slap - coming up a bit later, I'm going to be taking a break. So unfortunately, there won't be any more Slaps until April 1.
This was a hard decision to make, but it had to be done. Not only am I just a bit burned out, I've got an extremely busy period coming up at work and I really need to focus on that.
So, with that said, thank you to everyone for reading over the years! And don't worry, I'll definitely be back! In the meantime, there's quite a collection of hotties in the archives - check 'em out! And, of course, if you have suggestions, feel free to send them as usual. I can't promise a response, but I'll keep them on file.

Sorry I missed a couple of Slaps, but yesterday and the day before I was traveling to the Bahamas. I'm here for a few days of vacation and a few days of work, but it seems like it's turning out to be less vacation and more work...
Anyway, as you may have seen there have been a couple of suggestions that we have a run-off for Slap of the Year. And I confess, I'm tempted. But some people have been rather vocal in their disapproval of run-offs. I'm guessing, of course, that they had voted for the winner.
In any case, as of now, the three leaders are within 2 votes of each other, which is just amazing. So instead of voting on more voting, I'm going to open the floor for a voice (!) vote about whether or not to have a runoff. So start shouting. Should we have a runoff? Or should I just declare a winner tomorrow afternoon?
Update 1/11/08: I should have mentioned - someone suggested "picking your top 3", in the manner of an "instant runoff vote". Good thinking! I like the idea, but I'm rather short on development time right now. Perhaps later this year...

Very Hot - he's why Moonlight has been DVR'd all season. Definitely like him with his natural hair color and unshaven - there are some good pics here, but think he looks better onscreen than in pics. And, personally, I like the tatts.

I hesitate to suggest it, but if the initial pattern of voting continues, with the three leaders closely packed but none receiving even a fifth of the votes, why not follow-up with a runoff? You did that once before, and while everyone hated it, it might make more sense than to crown as Slap of the Year someone who receives 16% of the total ballots and barely a percentage more than the second place hunk. Just a thought...

I'm sure it surprises nobody, but just to confirm, Eddie Cibrian is the winner of December's Slap of the Month!
He recorded one of the stronger wins that I can remember recently, with the exception of Michael Churchill who is some sort of deity...
Anyway, the runner up for December was Michael Weatherly, who was also quite deserving, I think:
It looks to me like December, in a way, came down to "fur vs smooth". As noisy as the "fur people" are, I figured they'd win a vote like this...

The South-American Series is called, "Pasion de Gavilanes". A hot soap with 3 men to die for (the cutest one being Michel- An elderly woman falls head-over-heels for him and tries in vain to buy his love) Worth-watching! He became a rage in Spain after we saw him and also conductd a show for some time here. At the moment, u will c him in more S-American series.

a little modesty would help? the only pictures i have ever seen are of his bare chest--and his pants firmly in place! honestly now, if there were a nude picture around, i suspect that it would be put on this website faster than greased lightening! then perhaps he could be sited for immodesty, but i don't think you'd get many backers--politically speaking that is.

I so totally agree with Ronnie ... both in spirit and content. I've been meaning to send a comment for the past year ... so here goes ... "not enough fur, too pretty, looks like a boy band type, shouldn't wax, too young, too much skin, too little skin, etc." My biggest rant is about the "fur-people" who link hotness with fur .. duh .. Not for everyone! My interpretation of a "slap" is someone that is SO HOT (for whatever reason) that they deserve a virtual "slap"! I've been a male model in West Hollywood & I know the harm & shallowness that comes with the "he's totally hot but his hair is too curly" mentality. It's totally dehumanizing. A negative comment doesn't imply a criticism of our host. In fact, it doesn't imply an overall negative opinion of the guy being slapped. To me it's just an observation. If you're really observant, you'd probably wonder why the guy on the boat is checking out the dude's basket and why the arm around his chest seems to be so comfortable to him......That being said, there's never too many pictures of a good looking guy's chest and I'd be first in line for a bare crotch shot.

I very much agree that an observation of what I like or do not like DOES NOT reflect on our host at all. He is flat-out awesome for all of the time and effort he puts in on this site that we can all enjoy so much! A while ago there was a seemingly constant "hairy/not hairy" playground argument. THAT got old in a hurry. Let it go folks, we all have differing preferences which if you haven't noticed increase all of our odds of getting whatever appeals to us personally. I personally am not turned on by the level of body fat that Ronaldo carries in many of the above pictures, as well as the often present love handles. If I am honest with myself, however, this is because these are my own issues about my own body. Keep up the great work, Rob!

Sorry for the delay in getting December posted, but I've needed a vacation to recover from Christmas and New Year's!
Anyway, here are the candidates for December. I'm not sure we can keep up with November and Michael Churchill, but there are some seriously hot guys that we all enjoyed. I confess to a certain soft spot for Corin Nemec, his Scientology infection aside, but I'm not sure I'm voting for him. I also really like Adam Storke and wish that I'd been able to find more skin. And discussions with Jonny last night revealed that he'll be voting for Eddit Cibrian, but I just don't think I can vote for Eddie.
Let's just end this now. We all know it's Eddie C. Imagine me voting for a hairless guy. EDDIE! EDDIE! EDDIE!

I also prefer a hairy man and loved Nestor Carbonell but had to vote for Eddie hands down. He just gets better with age.
Today's Slap goes out to a guy that I've lusted over for ages. And it seems like someone pointed me to his new movie, Never Back Down recently (unfortunately, I can't find the e-mail in question). And Sean Faris looks absolutely fabulous in it, especially since it seems like he has his shirt off a fair amount of the time.
I especially love some of the modeling pics you'll see after the jump (and there's the one at the bottom of this post, too...) - they are just so fine.
He's no Jamie Bamber, but I think Sean is a great way to kick off 2008.
He always looks amazing. As a bonus, in some of the photos, he is shown with D.B. Sweeney, who is incredibly hot, as well.
