Survivor 12!
I personally am stunned that Survivor has lasted this long. I watched the first one, but couldn't imagine watching any more. Someone out there seems to like it, though. Anyway, if you're a fan, The Malcontent has a look at the most important thing about Survivor: Which of the contestants is gay? I'm rooting for Aras or Nick. Photos when they're available.
You guessed it, it's voting time again! If you remember, the month started with an ill-fated attempt at a theme of winter athletes. That didn't work out, but I have a new theme coming up that should be better received for various reasons - among them that it will only be a week long, not a whole month. And I think most of you out there will enjoy it quite a bit more. Look for that on Monday - probably.
In the mean time, look into your hearts, read your tea leaves, gaze at your crystal (or other) balls - and then cast your vote! Me? I'm voting for John Driscoll. If you had asked me a week ago, I would have said that Jeremy Bloom had a lock on my vote, but seeing John in bed with Christian Campbell sent him right over the top! Or is he a bottom? Regardless, he's the man.
Extremely poor month, if I may say so. The men weren't that impressive, Christian Campbell and Travis Wolfe aside.
As for the woman... I wish you'd drop the 'gay movement' slaps. Or even if you just had them as Extra Slaps or something. Seriously, how am I supposed to blow my load over an over-muscular bull-dyke?

Mats Christeen! Listen, I got to be honest and say that I loved your theme of hot athletes. Especially the hockey players! Mats is one of the hottest guys alive. I did a lot of research on him and found loads of pix--all of which, were slappable! So, don't slap yourself around so much on a good idea! AGES ago. Yes, ages ago, Matt was kind enough to suggest actor David Sutcliffe, star of such things as Happy Endings and frequent guest star on Gilmore Girls. I can't say that I've ever noticed David on screen, so I'm assuming that's simply because I've never seen anything he was in - it's very hard for me to believe that I might have overlooked such a hottie, with his lovely fur in just the right quantities...
Very handsome. Those shots of him in bed with Antonio Sabato Jr are from Testosterone, which may just be the worst gay-themed movie ever.

The funniest thing

I know some were worried that I might neglect today's slap, but there was really no way - especially having seen him in this week's episode. So, the fourth - and final? - Slap from The Book of Daniel is gay choir boy John Driscoll. I have to admit, I was thrilled when NBC decided to make episodes available on the web - I was afraid I might not get to see John's character hook up with Christian's. Talk about hot. I nearly wet myself just thinking about it - I could have used a smooch, but seeing them in bed together with their shirts off was quite nice, and the shot of John's armpit was fantastic! To reiterate sound like a broken record, if you haven't watched the episode online yet, do it now.
If you want to see more of John, you can see him fairly regularly on Guiding Light, playing Henry Cooper Bradshaw #2. I may have a new show for the afternoons...
Also, I have a confession to make: I saw a couple of screen caps of the scene in bed online the other day, but I didn't grab them at the time. And now I can't find them... If I find them, I'll put them in.
Update: Whew! Jeff came through again - without me even asking he read my mind and knew that I wanted the pictures of John and Christian in bed together. You can see the caps he sent on the next page.
Wonderful! Is John "family"? I saw him on Martha and thought... without a doubt! Not that there is anything wrong with that. :-)

WOW!!! Is it to early to vote for the slap of 2006! I fell in love with him when he had a small role on Dawson's Creek. He played Blossom. He is a major hottie.
Rounding out the Book of Daniel slaps we have Adam and Peter's father, Aidan Quinn. Much to my husband's chagrin, we never got to see Aidan with his shirt off - which, honestly, was kinda strange, I mean he was in bed several times, and always with his shirt on?? Whatever.
Anyway, I do hope that the creators of the show can figure out how to get any un-aired episodes to us. DVD? iTunes? HBO? And I'd love to see them take a chance with new distribution methods and try to make the business of online distribution work - I don't know if it would, but it might be worth a shot.
UPDATE: After I wrote this post I got the tip from Jeff about NBC making the un-aired episodes available on NBC.com -- again, thanks to Jeff and the rest of my eagle-eyed readers for keeping me abreast of such things!!
Anyway, the more I think about it, the more I think that pulling the show was fundamentally a business decision -- perhaps the pressure from the bigot brigade made them pull the trigger early, but if the numbers didn't pick up, it would have been yanked anyway. Would the numbers have picked up if it stayed on the air? I guess that's the question, isn't it? Regardless, if the ratings had been good enough (think Desperate Housewives), NBC wouldn't have caved to any pressure. And I don't know if it's possible, but perhaps enough people will watch online that NBC will decide to resurrect production.
As for the question of "why the fuss?", I'd say "because the AFA made a fuss". There have been lots of good shows that were pulled for business reasons (Kitchen Confidential is a recent standout), but the bigots weren't making a fuss. With The Book of Daniel the religious right made a fuss, so we're fussing back.
So...if you've read this far, may I ask one more thing? Send an e-mail to Jeff Zucker (CEO) and/or Kevin Reilly (President) of NBC. And be nice -- don't rant and rave about censorship or caving in to extremist bigots -- just tell them nicely that you enjoyed the show and that you'd like to add your voice to those asking that they give the show another chance. (You can also sign an online petition -- thanks again, Jeff!) And regardless, thank them for making the rest of the episodes available on the web site. Even that seemingly small gesture is a big step for a company like NBC. Plus there's the old "flies and honey" saw.
Have I yapped enough? Yes. Now send the e-mail! And be sure to vote with your clicks by watching the rest of the episodes -- remember a new episode comes out each Friday and is available for the entire week!
I've always thought that Aidan was a hottie. I found it odd that he was playing Christian Campbell's father since they are only 13 years apart in age.

I just don't think that's the appropriate attitude for a grand slam final. And she really does seem like a bitch.

Daniel update!
Jeff was kind enough to write and point out that NBC is making the un-aired episodes of The Book of Daniel available on its web site, starting tonight. One will be available every week, starting on Friday.
The web site shows the episode in a small window, but if you want to watch it larger you can follow these steps:
1) Right-click on the video as it's playing and choose "Properties"
2) Copy the "Location" value in the Properties dialog
3) Open Windows Media Player
4) In the WMP File menu, choose "Open URL" and paste the value from the location property.
Oh, I watched the episode posted tonight and [SPOILER]I'm glad to report that Peter (the gay son) and the other hottie (David) hook up. Woohoo![/SPOILER]
And finally, kudos to NBC for making these episodes available!

Day 2 of The Book of Daniel slaps brings us Ivan Shaw who, coincidentally, was in All My Children Too. Ivan played the frisky adopted son "Adam" in Book of Daniel, and while his portrayal seemed a bit over the top, it was entertaining.

Here's an interesting side note: On AMC, Shaw's character (Henry) lost his girlfriend to another girl. In fact, his girlfriend, Maggie, went on to become part of this sort of odd supercouple, Bianca and Maggie. There's this whole, huge group of people devoted to the couple (they call themselves BAM - for Bianca and Maggie, or BAMers). They remain devoted despite the fact that the couple are no longer on the show (they left to live the gay life in Paris).

Winterskol!
Two weeks ago was Aspen's Winterskol festival. Part of the festival was the Bud Light Big Air Contest. I went along and grabbed some pics -- as you can see it was SNOWING that day.
Tomorrow's the beginning of the Winter X-Games - I'll post pics when I have 'em.
I was doing some work at a house, and while I was in the back yard the two (crazy) dogs came flying around the corner looking ready to attack me. I braced myself to be devoured, but I was fortunate that they were very friendly - within 30 seconds I had a tennis ball deposited at my feet and a very hopeful look on the mug of the guilty canine. The dog I had as a kid was similarly enthusiastic about a tennis ball, so I had some fun and threw the ball a few times. Who, after all, could resist?
All of the throws proceeded without incident until the last. As I prepared to leave, I threw the ball across the yard one last time. One of the dogs, frantic to keep the ball from the other, made an attempt at a diving catch and ended up sliding on the snow and ice in the yard. Directly into the fence. At what seemed like 100 mph. All I heard was the crash - I looked up to see three pieces of the fence missing and a dog in the front yard. He had crashed right through the wooden fence, taking part of the it with him. Talk about dedication. But the look on his face was absolutely priceless - I don't think he could believe it either.
Like I said, I wish I had a camera.
And, as you might have guessed, since it came apart so easily, the fence went back together easily too. Whew!
I'm gonna call PETA on you. Does sound like Molly though. She would have been OK with having her face smashed in, as long as she got the ball.

Speaking of The Book of Daniel
As for Book of Daniel, I don't know about the rest of you, but I was kind of enjoying the show, independent of Christian. The first episode started off kinda ham-handed, but I think it was developing well.
From what I've read, NBC isn't pulling it as a direct result of the bigot brigade's letter-writing campaign, but simply for low ratings -- the the wackos and their noise contribute? Maybe? Probably? Who knows, maybe they'll release the balance of the season on iTunes? A guy can dream...
In reading the NBC message boards I came across this post by Jack Kenny, the show's creator (the first part is quoting a post by a "Christian"):

Kudos to Jack for replying in an honest, forthright manner. It always amazes me that people can be so zealous in their beliefs that they don't even hear what they are saying or stop to consider how it sounds. And for the record, I don't think anyone involved with the show ever said the clan portrayed on Book Of Daniel was supposed to be a "realistic" clan. Thankfully, I'm not overly concerned about these folks taking over the airwaves. As a close follower of the ratings and what impacts them, I don't believe that their protests had much to do with the situation. Heck, if these groups were that powerful, I have to think that shows such as Will & Grace or Desperate Housewives would have been yanked off the airwaves long ago. In the end, for better or worse, whatever draws a large number of people to the television stays on the television. What doesn't, doesn't. Personally, I like living in a world where people can watch Fear Factor if they so choose, despite the fact that I find it appalling. Wow... okay, I'm done. Now, back to the naked guys...

It really sucks that they not only cancelled the book of daniel but that they are also not going to air the remainder of the episodes.
The show was refreshing and entertaining and showed a truly diverse group of people...much like the world itself. I guess people don't like to see how the world really is.

Kenny's and Driscoll's remarks were right on the money.
Maybe I'm being a Pollyanna, but I don't think the protests were the breaking point. The show had some good points to it, but it simply did not gel (at least not until the later shows) and it tried a little too hard. I thought other than Campbell and Driscoll's roles, the other younger roles were badly cast and/or not well acted. And of course, it had less than stellar ratings. NBC shows offensive shit like Fear Factor and would show live funerals if it gave them ratings. I doubt a little protest got this show cancelled.
I for one want to complain Kitchen Confidential was cancelled. Ratings would have been much higher if Bradley Cooper would have just been naked all of the time. What a fine man.
Meanwhile, John Driscoll's blog made me laugh. I think he's gay, judging from two separate references, followed by LOL's, about riding bareback (he was talking about horses). Another lad that needs to walk around naked as much as possible.
Today, in honor of its cancellation, I'm going to begin 3 days of Book of Daniel slaps. I know, I know -- he was playing an 18 year old (19?), but I seem to remember having chest hair at 19...

Anyway, I ended up watching a couple of episodes of First Wave (god help me!) today, starring Canadian actor Sebastian Spence today, and while the show isn't very good - and the acting is worse - Sebastian definitely looks good. And at least in a couple of episodes he shows some nice skin. So check him out and we'll see if Comcast comes through on its promise of restored access by tomorrow afternoon.
He has also looked good in Third Man Out in which he was playing gay.

I used to have COX for my cable & internet, the outages were tiresome. I now have QWEST DSL & DIRECTV I am a happy boy now. Believe it or not, the DSL is faster than the Cable ever was!

Withdrawal symptoms have started
Augh! Sorry for the Slap-less day, but my internet has been down for over 24 hours. And it's not predicted to return until Wednesday. WEDNESDAY!!! Some stupid train operator crashed and cut a fiber optic cable near Denver, so anyone who uses Comcast and lives in the mountains of Colorado is SCREWED.
Anyway, I'm returning to Denver in the morning, so I should be able to post a slap then. Stay tuned!

Today's slap, as suggested by Mark (I think -- it's a long story) is Puerto Rican singer & actor CarlosPonce. Currently, Carlos can most often be seen on Entertainment Tonight, although it looks like he has a fairly prominent role in the upcoming Meet Me in Miami.
I don't watch ET and haven't seen any of his movies, so I don't know how he comes across on screen, but his still pics look VERY nice, I think.
One of the better ones of late. At least he has SOME hair on his chest - not much, but better than all those skater boys and twinks of late. Ditch that crowd a.s.a.p.

At Jonathan's repeated insistence, today's Slap is actor Jay Hernandez, currently starring in Hostel where you can see him partially clothed - I hear he's not naked, but I'll take any skin I can get. I haven't seen the movie yet, but one of these days I'm gonna get there... It sounds a bit creepy, but I dunno - I've always had a thing for horror movies, and this sounds especially greusome.

Apparently, a church in Washington is calling for a nationwide boycott of Microsoft over its support of gay rights. Well, since IBM, Apple and others also support gay rights, I'm not sure there's anywhere these people can go to get "safe" software. So I'm hoping that the AFA (sorry, I refuse to link to them) and all the other wackos join the boycott and take down their web sites.
Tennis player Tommy Haas isn't what you'd traditionally call a "winter athlete", but he's busy in Australia, having had a good start against Frenchman Richard Gasquet (also a hottie!) in the Australian Open. But seeing him with his new short hair - . He's always had a spectacular body, but the nasty pony tail was such a turn off. Yeha, what a difference a (lack of a) ponytail makes - he looks a bit like a beefier Tim Henman. Still, I'm afraid no one comes close to Mr Andy Roddick...

Well, Jerry Falwell and the rest of the bigot brigade notwithstanding, someone somewhere likes gay people. Every year during Gay Ski Week Aspen has some the best conditions of the season. And last night we were treated to a beautiful 10" of snow in celebration of opening day!
Don, who is, I think, my most prolific contributor, sent along the suggestion for today's slap, German swimmer Thomas Rupprath. I can't tell you much about Thomas, but I do find him MUCH hotter than former slap Michael Phelps. He's just so ....... slappable.

Goings on
Today was the first official day of Gay Ski Week 2006 here in Aspen. We've got a bunch of people arriving over the course of the week - why aren't you coming?? - including my brother-in-law Joe tomorrow and a large crowd on Wednesday.
My favorite events of the week are the "Downhill Costume Competition" and "Battle of Sexual Preferences III: Gay vs. Straight Ice Hockey Championship". I'll try to post pictures of these and other fun stuff throughout the week.
Some time before, I really needed to buy a building for my business but I didn't earn enough cash and couldn't buy something. Thank God my brother proposed to try to take the home loans from trustworthy bank. Therefore, I acted so and was happy with my bank loan.
Is anyone else watching? I had planned on watching prior to the controversey, but all of this foolishness only makes me want to stick with it. I found the pilot rather ham-handed (even though the cute guy quotient is high), but decided to persevere on the theory that if it pisses off the religious right so much, it must be good.
With that said, keep your eyes peeled for upcoming BoD slaps!
I finally got around the watching it. Its ok. To many plots going at once. Wouldn't mind if the one son got as much action as his man whore brother.

Okay, I haven't actually seen Book Of Daniel yet, but one BOD definitely worth slapping is John Driscoll. I think he plays the son of Ellen Burstyn, if I'm not mistaken. I know him from his work on GUIDING LIGHT, where he plays Henry "Coop" Cooper Bradshaw. Google him and you should find some really hot pics... he's a keeper.

A good cause?
Via Tottyworld comes the latest "sell pixels on your home page" gimmick - Strip the Student. Daniel is a student and isn't looking forward to the prospect of graduating with mountains of student debt, so he's selling a naked picture of himself - 100 pixels at a time. And he says that any amounts received in excess of his eventual student debt will be donated to charity.
Hmmm. I have to admit I'm curious to see Daniel naked (he looks kinda cute), but I'm just not sure I can bring myself to contribute. Of course, if I thought people would pay me, I'd gladly sell a picture of myself...
You know what, I give the kid credit for not only ingenuity (although it might not truly be ingenious, as he freely admits to ripping someone off) but, more importantly, a sense of humor. I mean, that is hysterical! I kinda doubt he's going to make much money off it... I mean, there are a lot of cute guys out there ready, willing and able to expose themselves for free...
OK, I've decided to re-work the themes, and that's gonna take a bit, so in the meantime I'll just be back to "regular" slaps.
So, with that in mind, today's slap is actor Mark Feuerstein. Mark has been in any number of shows, on any number of networks, but he never seems to find a show that has any longevity. It's too bad, because Mark is so cute - and I love the way he doesn't seem self-conscious about the perfect smattering of fur on his chest.
Mark is hot. He is so much better than those skater twinks that have been posted. Finally a man with a man's body. I have a question though, what movie did those pictures come from where he is kissing another guy?

My first BF was a skater, and I used to shower regularly with many of them (the pluses of swimming at a club with a top international skating school). Steven is an absolute sweetheart, and hands down (did I say that?) has the BEST butt out of any skater I've ever met -- and I'm not even a "butt" man. Best skater bods are on pairs skaters, because they get great upper body devt. :-)
You knew he was coming. The hottest winter athlete EVER. Yes, ever. No arguing! Yes boys and girls, it's Jeremy Bloom - heck he was a real contender for Slap of the Year, there's no way I could leave him out of this theme, even if I do ditch it. I can't believe it! I got my first real hate mail today. I mean, I've gotten notes from people irritated with twinks or fur or whatever, but never just a simple

I certainly appreciate what you do and never miss checking here at least once a day, and usually more often. Yes, I've upgraded the code again. Right now you won't see any difference (ideally...), but this change lets me add something that I've desperately needed: Voting that I implemented. That way I can keep people from screwing around and voting too many times.

Sticking with US athletes for another day, I present ski racer Bode Miller. Bode won 2 silver medals in Salt Lake City and he's been showing some good results last year and this in the World Cup, so hopefully he can score a gold in Torino!!

Going back to speed skating for the day, we take a look at another U.S. Olympian, Kip Carpenter. This is just a guess, but I imagine he'll be received more favorably around here than poor Apolo Ohno was.
Kip won a bronze medal on the 500-meter track in Salt Lake City, but I haven't been able to confirm if we'll see him in Torino - let's hope so!!
If by "boring" you mean "God, yet another lickable, naked guy with an ass you could bounce quarters off" then, sadly, I would be forced to agree. I particularly like that, just to make him more loveable, he's even holding a puppy! Crash cart to my office, stat, because my heart just stopped.

Today we take a look at Swedish hockey star Mats Christeen. I should actually clarify that -- Mats is Swedish, but he skates for Nashville (Nashville has a hockey team??). As an aside, I wish he'd skate in some of the outfits you'll see on the next page - I'm not so much a hockey fan, but that would certainly glue me to the TV!! I couldn't figure out of Mats will be in this year's Olympic Games, but here's hoping!!

Today's slap is he of "dinner roll" fame, US skier Jonny Moseley. Jonny first came to my attention in 1998 in Nagano after winning the gold medal in the moguls competition. Then in 2002 in Salt Lake he did his famous dinner roll jump - and while he didn't win the gold that year, he certainly won a place on this site!! I was only able to round up a couple of shirtless pics of Jonny, but the ones I did find are pretty good, so enjoy!!

Another figure skater - this time Russian - is today's slap. Alexei Yagudin is the one who put on the strip tease show at the Olympics in Salt Lake City. Geez - I nearly fell right off my chair. I remember him from when he was 16 and just hit the scene. I know he's in his 20's now, and I think he's gotten better with age. French figure skater Brian Joubert is the first victim in January's slap theme. According to his website, we'll be seeing Brian in Torino in February. I can't wait - I'm just hoping he gives a performance like Russian skater Alexei Yagudin gave in Salt Lake City.

Hans wrote to suggest today's Slap, and I think Shemar Moore is an excellent choice because he's hot and because he adds variety that I need around here...
So I can't say that I've ever seen Shemar around anywhere (I don't watch The Young and the Restless), but I've heard that Criminal Minds is pretty good, so I may be seeing more of him.
OK, having spent a year slapping anything that moves (!), I'm retooling a bit. I don't know if it will work, but I'm going to TRY to do themes. So, with that in mind, the rest of January is Olympic Athlete month - preferably winter athletes, but I'll take summer ones if I have to. The first two days of Jan are already screwed up (I don't have the energy to fix tomorrow's post), but I'll bet you can guess who's on tap for Tuesday.
So let's have some suggestions! Oh, and they don't necessarily have to be competing in this year's Winter Olympics. So, if you're so inclined, Brian Boitano would be a good suggestion. He might not get included, but he'd be a good suggestion.
Blaine Wilson...gymnast in the summer olympics but hey why not.
Damn any guy gymnast from Romania will do.

I definitely second that! Craig's a great-looking lad with an amazing body - tight, muscular and defined with no trace of body hair. Craig's biceps, quads and glutes are stunning to watch as he performs on the bars and pommel - and it's hard to miss the obvious bulge in his gym pants. When I saw Craig training in Manchester, he was walking about barefoot with no gym pants on. He was stripped down to just a thin sweaty singlet and a pair of shorts with big splits up each side. When Craig started stretching his legs really high, his shorts split wide open and we could see nearly half of his bare ass! Every time he ran or lifted his legs, we could see a bit more of his smooth bare butt! And we saw his package bouncing about! We kept cheering him on whenever his shorts exposed those tight muscular buttcheeks. I don't think Craig had any idea why we were watching him so closely.

Great as Jamie Bamber is, I'd have liked to have seen acknowledged someone who has taken off his shirt more than once. With so many choices who have shown a comittment to whipping off their shirts on a regular basis or those like Simon Rex, Josh Duhammel, etc., who have bared all for the advancement of their careers to our entertainment and delight, it seems his solo appearance, no matter how spectacular, is only an indication of what he could actually contribute. Let's hope he does while he can.

Jamie's come a long way from Horation Hornblower! I was sad when they killed him off in the first movie.
The first Slap of 2006 goes to actor Matthew Lawrence. Some have suggested Matthew's older brother Joe (of Blossom fame), but I think Matthew is SO much hotter!! So Joey may - some day - make it here, but not today...
Anyway, Matthew has been in tons of movies & TV, but nothing terribly momentous. That's OK - enjoy him anyway!
