Wired has an article on real cyber sex - or cyber sex that's getting closer to real every day. In this case it amounts to, letting your cyber-sex partner control your dildo remotely. Called "teledildonics" (I can't believe there's a word for this...), Amir Vatan, the CEO of HighJoy, describes it as something between AdultFriendFinder and Match.com.
They offer standard memberships that allow you to browse chatrooms and connect anonymously - albeit a bit less so than in the past. And "one-on-one" memberships, that only allow you to interact with your chosen sex partner (presumably in another city, but why put rules on it?).
I've never been all that interested in the idea of cyber sex, but this could certainly make it interesting - given the right attachments.

One more Idol note
My husband has decided that Clay Aiken looks like the love child of K.D. Lang and Carrot Top. Hmmm.
I absolutely cannot believe that Scott Savol survived another week. And, more importantly, that Constantine got voted off? Who the hell is voting in this fucking contest? I can only assume that every fat fucking redneck in the whole country is voting 5 times for Scott Savol. (With apologies to my fat fucking redneck readers.)
Honestly, I think American Idol may have been irreparably damaged by this season. Overall, the contestants are substantially weaker than last season - and the fact that the monstrous fat fuck Scott Savol is still alive (and in the top fucking three!!!) damages it further. I'm not sure I'll even finish watching this season.
Oh, who am I kidding, I'll watch at least until Jabba the Idol gets voted off.
Today's slap is Grey's Anatomy star Justin Chambers. Star may be a bit of a stretch because he seems to be pretty far down the credits - nevertheless, here he is. Justin got his start, like so many other delicious men, in soaps, playing "Nicholas 'Nick' Hudson #1" on Another World.
I've never seen Grey's Anatomy, but it may be worth a look. From the ads I've seen, Justin's character looks like a smug (but hot) little prick - sounds perfect.
Gray's Anatomy is a great show, and not just because of Justin, who plays the arrogant white boy role. Patrick Dempsey is super sexy in the show, and in the premier episode he was briefly starkers except for a pillow on his ass.

It's being reported around the internet that Microsoft has has dropped its support of a gay civil rights bill in Washington. According to the stories, Microsoft responded to threats of a nationwide boycott by a "radical right activist". I obviously have no specific knowledge of any actions - of any kind - by Microsoft related to this legislation. But it seems unlikely to me. As people have noted, Microsoft has long been a leader in pro-gay policies and has received awards for them. And since you might as well try to boycott the I.R.S., it's hard to imagine Gates & Co. responding to such threats.
Today's slap - and NOT IN A GOOD WAY - is American Idol contestant Scott Savol. Don't worry, however, there will be no shirtless pictures.
I'm just hoping a bad slap will send some negative energy his way - I don't know if I can take another week of seeing him. And if Ryan Seacrest calls him "Scotty the Body" again he'll get his own bad slap.

Wired has a great story about Google's new mapping service with satellite imagery. Since in most cases the images are taken with no user input, people are often surprised at what they see when they look. Like:

In my own poking around I found pictures of the Capitol in Washington - intentionally blurred, to prevent identification of details I assume. But I was surprised to find that pictures of the White House hadn't received the same treatment.

Today's slap continues with politically-oriented features. At Toby's suggestion, via Drew, is Dan from Atwood. He had posted a web site for his Kansas home town's newspaper. But after the town voted overwhelmingly in favor of a state constitutional amendment designed to strip any protection at all from gay couples, he took the site down and replaced it with an open letter to the residents of the town where he grew up. Read the letter.
UPDATE: It appears that someone has made Dan take down his open letter - perhaps he did it voluntarily, I don't know. I did manage to lay my hands on a copy of the letter, since it hasn't bounced out of the Google (search "Atwood Kansas") cache yet. I'm not sure if I feel comfortable posting it, however. Any thoughts?
UPDATE II: D'oh! It's already gone from the Google cache! Damn, they work fast!

Via Gizmodo comes news that Darpa, the Defense Advanced Research Products Agency, has a new aggressive project to develop artificial limbs, specifically replacement hands.
The goal?
It needs to be sensitive enough for the wearer to demonstration to do day-to-day tasks in the dark. And the limb will have to be strong enough to lift 60 pounds at a time.
Some time before, I really needed to buy a good house for my firm but I did not earn enough money and couldn't purchase something. Thank heaven my mother suggested to get the personal loans at reliable bank. So, I acted so and used to be happy with my short term loan.
Today's slap, at the suggestion of Sam, is fitness model Paul Tornabene. Once again, I don't always go for the muscle-dudes, but this one has a nice crossover.
UPDATE: Paul's representative contacted me recently and asked me to remove his pictures. As is my standard policy, if asked to remove someone's pictures, I'm glad to do so. And I really appreciate the fact that Paul's rep was very nice about it, in stark contrast to a certain snotty little boy who also requested removal recently.

Today's slap, at the very good suggestion of KipEsquire, is Sgt. Robert Stout. Perhaps you've seen the stories about Robert. He's a Purple Heart winner, wounded in Iraq, that wants a chance to remain in the military as an openly gay soldier. The 26-year old reports that he is out to most of his platoon and has encounterd no trouble from his fellow soldiers. The Army, as is standard policy, refuses to comment on specific cases.
I'd like to think that a high-profile case like this might cause Congress and the Bush Administration to consider changing the policy, but I might as well hope that George Bush will marry Rick Santorum. Some day, perhaps, the U.S. Military will join the armed forces of such countries as Great Britain, Germany, France, Australia, Canada and Israel and allow gays to serve openly.
Commendable shout out, but unless you dig up some pics of him pouty and shirtless, I'll be slapping my face just to stay awake.

I just wanted to add, as his fiance, that he is even more of an amazing man than his story lets on. He is the kindest gentlest man you would ever know, and he does not feel like he has done anything outstanding by coming out, irregardless of how many times anyone tells him otherwise. As for the shirtless thing, well, that is at least something I get to see on a daily basis :-).

Let's see. Peter Johnson. That is easy. He was a high school wrestler in Iowa that Bruce Weber (the famous photographer) discovered when he was a teenager at a wrestling camp. They became friends and he photographed him over a period of years. These photos became an amazing photgraphy book called The Chop Suey Club and a limited run movie called Chop Suey. I think Peter became a Gap underwear model for a little bit. Most of the pix in your slap of him come from the Chop Suey Club. The one of him with the baby is his son.

Marvo, over at The Impulsive Buy, has a review of a Japanese product he refers to as Poop Water. He managed to come up with more euphemisms for poop than I've ever seen. My favorite: "Making a Madonna movie."
Jonathan accused me the other day of "slipping". I think he was especially dismayed by my Slap of Alex Frei. Why I can't imagine, but he's always had weird taste. Anyway, today's slap is to make up for my slippage in Jonathan's eyes - Eddie Cibrian is one of his favorite guys in the world. Personally, I prefer his other favorite, James Marsden.
Anyway, here's Eddie. Jonny, should I go ahead and record your vote for Slap of the Month??
John, you'll be interested to know he graduated from Princeton in '98. I really should slap some of theothercute Princeton grads that I can think of off the top of my head.
The voting is final, and again Ryan Carnes has failed to pull his weight - and he can't weigh much, so it's kinda sad. Anyway, Josh Wald managed to squeak it out by one vote: So I guess I'm gonna have to put Ryan up against Randy Johnson if I want him to win Slap of the Month? Regardless, April isn't looking good, because I think Jeremy Bloom has it locked up.
I guess it would be easier to stuff the ballot box.
I've slapped him before, and I'm sure I'll slap him again - today's slap is the incredible Jeremy Bloom. Surely one of the hottest guys out there - he seems to cross most boundaries. Even my husband, who would normally have nothing at all for a guy like Jeremy, thinks he's "OK looking". Trust me - that's a hell of an endorsement.
I've included every picture I have - I'm sure I missed a few (and probably duplicated a few). So if you see a tasty one that I missed, send it along.
I'm tempted to go ahead and declare him the winner of April's Slap of the Month.
He is perfection. There must be something genetic for guys with Bloom as a last name: Orlando, Jeremy...

Yes, the bruised one is hot!! The army- train pic is sweeeeet too. OK, now I just have to sit here for a few minutes before I go into a meeting knowing full well I'm not going to hear a damn word anyone says, instead I'll be dreaming about the bruises Jeremy (what a gay name!) gives me when he tackles me, into bed, after skiing lessons...yes, my day is completed and it hasn't even begun....Thanks, BentBlog!!! ;-p

Well, Josh Wald is currently leading the voting. He has 4 votes to everyone else's 2. But I'm really hoping for the underdog (Ryan Carnes) to squeak one out. So come on!!! Vote for RC, baby!!
